These discounts are based on family size and income. No person(s) will be denied access to medical services due to an inability to render payment.

Beginning January 1, 2024, California’s Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) launched the Hospital Bill Complaint Program to better enforce the Hospital Fair Pricing Act (Act). Under the Act, hospitals are required to have both a discount payment policy and financial assistance policy to provide quality care to patients regardless of one’s ability to render payment.
If you believe you were wrongly denied financial assistance, you may file a Complaint with the Hospital Bill Complaint Program.
